Visual stories enable individuals to build emotional connections with environments, institutions, and brands. Media can be distributed on websites, social media, and other venues for maximum exposure.
Creating movies with images and music captures a story in a way that brings it to life, whether its an event or a special place or a person you want to remember. Words alone can’t convey the natural beauty of a place or the multi dimensions of a person. And, many videos are over done and can be very expensive. The unique combination of photography with music both transports and inspires.
Movies are created using a combination of documentary photography, video, audio, sound effects and music. They can be viewed on the web or on a DVD. Photo books, note cards, and prints are also available. The movies are colorful, inspiring, and fun. At the same time, they are not over stimulating. They are quiet, simple, and moving.
How it works: We will meet to discuss the story you want to tell and then schedule a time to shoot – typically a half or full day, depending on the project. We will decide on which multimedia we want to use – photos, video, audio, music. I will then create the movie and show it to you for approval. This typically takes 2 weeks. After approval, it will be burned onto a DVD for your use on your web site, to keep, or to give as a gift. You may also decide to post the video on YouTube, Vimeo, or Flickr.
I will then post the photos from the movie to a web site where you can purchase them individually as prints. For those interested in keeping the memories in a book to have for future generations, I also create heirloom quality photo books. For individuals, books and prints make great gifts. For non-profits – they can be used to generate additional income.
All fees are project based.
