On August 9^th I was lucky enough to spend my morning shooting the Tri for a Cure Women’s Triathlon for the Maine Cancer Foundation. I watched women of all ages competing not against each other, but as one, for cancer research. The energy, the determination, and the spirit of these women brought me to tears on many occasions. The support from their families, hundreds of volunteers, and locals who came down to the shore to cheer them on stirred me to the core. (Royalty free music from Premiumbeat.com.)

The Maine Audubon project was a year in the making. The goal was to capture the beauty of Maine Audubon in all four seasons. From snowy fields, to the famous peonies in full bloom, to the colorful wildflowers in the summer, and ending with the changing leaves in autumn. Maine Audubon is a beautiful place to take pictures. The light is always different and there’s so much sky – my favorite.

This video incorporates photos, video, music and sound effects. My favorite part was when the little white duck came into the shot unexpectedly and followed his family across the street. It was all I could do to keep the camera still because I was laughing so hard. We posted the video on the Smiling Hill Farm Facebook fan page where they have over 1,000 fans. The video has been viewed over 200 times.
